The Penn Summer Programs
We're excited to announce two summer programs in 2024!
Teen Creative Project
Summer Program
Have you always wanted to write a novel? Invent something? Track a planet through space? Make a photography portfolio? For 14–18-year-olds, this three-week summer program offers the chance to creatively explore a topic of interest and dive into a dream project.
Three afternoons a week, each session will offer time for project exploration and creation, with mentorship and guidance from Andrew Fersch (Penn Director, yoga instructor, and 15-year public school teacher). An hour each day will be dedicated to time outdoors. Participants will create a final project to present to their family and community at the end of August.
Previous examples of Penn creative projects include: writing a short novel; writing and performing music; partnering with a poet laureate; climate-resiliency community projects; starting a tree-planting non-profit.
Limited to 8 students.
Dates: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays from July 29-August 19, from 2:00-5:30 pm (July 29, 30 // Aug 1, 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, 19)
Community Presentation Night: August 24th, 5:00pm
Location: Rochester, VT
Cost: $150-300 (sliding scale)
